Rosebud Quince Fruit Cheese (Membrillo)

Membrillo, also known as quince paste or quince cheese, is a thick, sweet jelly made from quince. Naturally high in pectin, quinces require no additional setting agents, allowing this delectable jelly to be crafted from just fruit and sugar. While traditionally from Spain, our Membrillo is now proudly sourced from the UK, produced by Rosebud.

This versatile paste pairs delightfully with a nutty Spenwood, or Kern, making it an excellent addition to any cheeseboard. Thanks to its high sugar content, which acts as a natural preservative, this paste can happily sit in the fridge for months, making it an ideal recipe to use up a glut of quinces.
