The box arrived 23.12.25 and I am not sure I realized it was arriving on that date, so clearer information would have been helpful to know when the box would be arriving. I had a message mid December saying arriving 19th December but it then it arrived 4 hours before I needed it on 23.12.25!

A superb treat for our Boxing Day cheeseboard. The Rollright topped the charts very closely followed by Heckfield. The Cropwell Bishop with the suggested Orange Marmalade was delicious! Most of these cheeses were familiar to us so it was surprising when Sparkenhoe Red Leicestershire came in right down the list of our preferences. We had some the following day, without other cheeses, and it was superb. Possibly it should have been top of the tasting list with the delightful Driftwood 2nd, then Rollright...all down to personal taste. The Bigod had a solid core which was a pity as we generally prefer one that just runs and runs and runs.... All told a box of sublime cheese - we'll be back for more!

Cheeses were great, especially the Rollright and the Baron Bigod. Thought the description of ‘charcuterie’ for the potted meat and ‘chutney’ for the marmalade were a bit misleading but enjoyed the products and agree the marmalade went well with the cheese. Info on the cheeses was well presented but didn’t do the tasting notes or take any pictures!

Wonderful, but for the Baron Bigod which my sister reports they baked as recommended and always love to do; only to find it in a dried leaked puddle in the oven, since it’s little wooden encasing was evidently glued, not stapled as per Camembert etc. She suspects the glue melted! Very sad about this as was a gift for my sister.

Everyone asks but I just don’t have time to give feedback so doing so is very rare for me. However, the produce and the service I received were so exceptional that I’m making an exception. The cheeses were simply amazing. All of them but our absolute favourite was Driftwood, very closely followed by Heckfield. (When describing Driftwood as the best goat’s cheese ever, it’s no lie!) And the personal service from R&R (and specifically Perry) represented the kind of service you just don’t come across these days. Our parcel went missing (as I believe did a few others). When I reported to R&R, Perry rang me personally to apologise and to say he was getting another lot in the post to us, which arrived in time for Christmas. I can’t sing their praises high enough.

I ordered the Christmas Mysteries Cheese Box for the first time 2025. The box arrived on the 18/12/2025 expertly packaged and in excellent condition. Contents contained six delicious cheeses, jar of Potted Pork,Jar of Marmalade, pkt of Peter,s yard sourdough crackers. Also included,, tasting notes for all the cheeses, 2 Quiz card, and score cards for the cheeses. We as a family scored the cheeses as follows. 1st. BARON BIGOD small & BAKEABLE.2ND HEKFIELD. 3RD DRIFTWOOD. All the cheeses were different and a delight to the pallet and very well compliment by an excellent choice of Marmalade, Potted Pork, and Crackers as chosen by Perry Wakeman.I normally choose my own cheeses for my Christmas Cheese Board but i have been very impressed by RENNET & RIND BOX i will certainly explore more more in the future from these cheesemongers.

LOVED THE BARON BIGOD AND THE ROLLRIGHT. THE HECKFIELD WAS DELICIOUS AND THE SPARKENHOE FINE. UNFORTUNATELY NONE OF THE FAMILY CARED FOR THE STILTON (ALTHOUGH I APPRECIATE IT’S A VERY TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS CHEESE) AND DEFINITELY NOT THE GOATS CHEESE - WHICH WILL, SADLY, GO TO WASTE.
